About me
Hello Hello! My name's anxiodine, and I am (unsurprisingly) a traditional artist and a writer in the background!
I like to make a lot of cool, action-y art and weird, pointy stuff too-- but I also like to make some sweet stuff, especially with my OCs, sometimes too! I tend to also make a lot of random fanart from stuff that I like, but I'm not much into any fandoms O7.
I'm really inspired by and am going for a shounen manga type vibe with my art, but so far I'm just trying to get to that point in my style, so I'm constantly doing studies. I also like to use a lot of vibrant colours and cool lighting, and I really like to put in a lot of detail when I can!As for just me... I guess I'm Salvadoran and in Canada, I'm INTJ-A, I'm gay, aro, and ace, ND, and I tend to like a lot of typically nerdy stuff; i.e. Math and a lot of science (yes chemistry lol), love mythology, I like a bunch of musicals and drama stuff, I especially like voice acting (and I actually do it myself sometimes as a hobby :)), DnD is super fun if only I could play it again lol, and I like a big variety of video games and anime/manga!
I don't talk about myself much-- I kinda prefer to keep a bunch of it out and I'd like to stay as a voiceless and faceless/ sona-only artist-- but I do hope you guys want to and get to know me if you decide to stick around :D
Also btw I am trying lately to talk more casually/ be more friendly (?) online. I'm lame and quite serious, but I am sweet I swear lol

Also, the name's made up of anxiety and iodine, and like a chemical compound- so no capital (just ignore the part about needing an ide end lmao). And my sona's name is AnxIety which is basically just the same thing if I could put it into a chemical formula lol.
I pronounce it like [ang-ZAI-uh-dine] btw.
Materials
Mostly use my sketchbook which is currently a Stillman & Birn Epsilon series, but I also use loose sheets of Strathmore Marker paperI use Dr. PH. Martin's Bombay india ink, but wrong ( purposefully add white when mixing colours for thick consistency). Also a grey ink wash for stuff in B&W.
Also my Speedball Hunt 102 Crow Quill dip pen is my favorite thing to use, ever, but I also use Pigma Microns in 0.35mm sometimes.I use tubes of Liquitex acrylic paint.
Mostly use Quinacridone Magenta, Fluorescent Pink + Blue + Green, Ultramarine Blue, Dioxazine Purple, Pyrrole Red, and Primary Yellow. in case you were wondering.For alcohol markers I use a variety of random off brands, but Copic Sketch and Touch Threes are some I know the names of. I also add on Prismacolor Premiere coloured pencils most of the time.
Now some useful extras: Posca paint markers are useful for most things (especially white with a separate paint brush), Gelly Roll white gel pens, Tombow water based brush markers sometimes, various paint brushes but I really like Royal & Langnickel's Zen series, and I have an old model of Wacom Intuos Draw and Fire Alpaca (free) for when I do mockups.
OCs/Story
Useless™/ Mayhem's
The most common OCs you'll hear me talk about are these guys. Everyone in this little universe works at a place called Mayhem's and the most notable ones are the Useless™ Trio (Fitz, Maizie, and Callum). There are/will be others later on elsewhere at Mayhem's, they don't all know each other but who knows, it's not so big of a place where they might never interact lol.Why Useless™?
Originally to teach me to have fun and not need everything to have a purpose or make sense when working with characters. They're useless because I'll never give them a proper story. Might make a mini comic or two maybe if I feel like it, but otherwise it defeats the purpose so they continue without a reason to exist other than to vibe.
Mayhem's?
It's basically just my escapism lol.
It's a big building built like a mall but instead of shopping there's just a bunch of fun stuff to do; Inside and out, high energy or chill, stuff to do with people or alone, you name it! For example, there's laser tag, a free range gymnasium, a performance café, food court, et cetera. It's meant to be a place where you can go to have fun without needing anything, no money required, and where you can come out with more company than you came in with!
It also promotes giving everyone an opportunity to do fun stuff and including people in- whether it's asking to join people or letting people join you. It's just all really cool O7 :)
Also, all the Useless™ OCs have the logo for Mayhem's somewhere on their design, but the most prominent will only be Fitz (it's in full on his T-shirt) because he was the first one. What's this?
Right so! I've been working on a little writing project for a few months now, and I'm gonna try to finish it sometime late 2024/25. It's gonna be a proper (light) novel type deal, and when I finish it I'll be posting it on AO3, a chapter a week :D But I'll also be announcing it on my main accs and I'll put a link to it here too :]For a bit of info to possibly get you interested:
It's a slice-of-life romance bl; and it's about two guys who just met living together, starting out not really liking each other but slowly warming up to and falling in love-- all that jazz. It's also about them working through some of their own problems and becoming better people with each other at their side, and it has a lot of sweet, small, human moments. -- But that last bit is basically just a staple of my writing style lol :)Honestly I'm really proud of it so far, it's super fun for me to write and I'm really attached to it O7 :)
I might also be considering getting it published, but I wanna see how people like it first, y'know? But who knows, it may happen one day. But then again, if not, I do plan on writing more stuff in the future-- this is only the beginning lol
